Search terms leading people to this site.

September 9, 2008

Obviously this is more of an entry for your amusement than it is for garnering the charm and wit of my loyal readers. What brought this about was the fact that this blog recently reached 10,000 views so I decided to show you why. Most of the traffic has been generated by my super awesome friends, and my now super awesome virtual friends, but people doing web searches also make up a considerable portion of the traffic. Keep in mind that this blog has a very eclectic range of topics so there have been some odd searches:

  1. The Most Popular – To date “list of articles of clothing” is by far the most popular search term sending people to my blog. Visitors are directed to this entry about my favorite articles of clothing. The rest of the top five searches are list of superpowers, list of condiments, toy aircraft carrier, and finally the fan favorite special olympics “this is my back.”
  2. Friends of Mine – Two of my college friends have had people scouring the web for information on them. Raridan simply left a comment on the blog, yet had several people come here looking for him. Feldser on the other hand has an entire entry about him so it is understandable that this may be a source of info about him, but what threw me for a loop was the fact that he was being searched for in the first place. My overactive imagination leads me to believe that it is a super hot model type young lady searching for him because she is too shy to approach him for fear of rejection. Either that or it is a serial rapist gathering information on his next victim. Both situations are possible, but not very probable.
  3. My Favorite – Arrogance is not a quality I possess, though I am very confient in my ablities which is often mistaken for arrogance. This is why “arrogant phrases” is my favorite search term. It kinda rings true, but only in the way that people who suck think of me as arrogant.
  4. Farthest Off Topic – Whoever searched for “foundation bass to cover blemishes and scars” firstly needs to realize that they aren’t searching for booty music. Once they figure that out they are still in the wrong place to try and find the information they were looking for. I have no clue about covering scars, but I could probably give you some advice on how to acquire some new ones.
  5. Most Random – “red dot, cat nails, scar” Really? What the fuck were you searching for? Totally random.

For those of you wondering about the most popular posts: Scars on your body (people like to read about other people’s pain), About Me (because I am pretty damn awesome),  Foods you could (or do) eat everyday (because we Americans are gluttonous as a people),  Dreams you’ve abandoned (nothing makes me feel better about myself than reading about other people’s failures), and Commercials you like (Americans also love our boob tubes) are the top five respectively. Thanks again to all of you who read and comment on a regular or semi-regular basis. Those who read on a regular basis but have never left comments (I KNOW WHO YOU ARE) don’t be shy. Add your lists. I know my posting schedule is far from precise (I do it when I get around to it) and that the content has been a bit lacking (non-existant) recently but hopefully both of those issues will be corrected soon. What do you expect? I am way too busy shaving off my facial hair for only the second time ever.
